Although not technically falling into August, we had to mention our attendance at PLASA - the most important event in our trade showcase calendar! Running from 1-3 September at London’s Olympia, the preparation for this annual event was the primary focus of our attention throughout August, culminating in the build of our epic 360m2 stand.

With a growing number of requests for a LED IP-rated hybrid lighting fixture, Dry Hire Lighting turned to the AC-ET lighting team to recommend a solution that would stand up to the output of the current leading discharge hybrid.

Following a demo of the Astra Hybrid330IP which showcased its outstanding performance, reliability and range of features and visual effects, the decision was easy to make.

Luminex training - continued learning

Specialist training and advice is part of our commitment to provide continued learning for professionals in the world of entertainment tech, and August saw a 2-day Luminex course on networking for lighting and video.

The course took place at both our Leeds and High Wycombe locations, and provided practical knowledge on the full capabilities of Luminex’s network and data distribution equipment.
