Based in Manchester, eFIXX is a leading multi-channel media platform which creates actionable content for professionals working in the electrical industry. Through its website, YouTube channel and roadshow live events, eFIXX covers the latest industry trends, practices and technologies.
eFIXX wanted to invest in high quality AV, lighting and staging equipment to present a consistent look and visitor experience at all venues hosting its roadshow events, and ensure a hassle-free set-up. In addition, it plans to use the equipment in a new dedicated video production studio in the future.

In our experience the quality of venues’ in-house AV equipment varies significantly. Using a location for an evening means that we simply don’t have time to learn a new set of equipment and deal with potential issues.

We want our event set-ups to look great and have strong branding, so that people will recognise an eFIXX event just by the images. It’s not just about the in-the-room experience. We film videos at our events too, so the production values need to be of a professional, high quality.
Being a new start-up business, eFIXX was looking for a single source equipment supplier who could quickly understand its challenges and aims, and deliver a complete solution in a very tight timescale. In addition, it wanted to get hands-on with potential products and explore different options available.
After contacting AC-ET to discuss its needs, Gordon visited the company’s Northern sales office in Leeds to see the products up-close in its dedicated demo facility.
Peter Butler, Head of AC-ET’s dedicated Audio and Video sales teams, oversaw the project and worked alongside its Lighting and Rigging sales teams, plus in-house cabling service, to recommend suitable solutions which were within budget.
Audio equipment supplied includes an Allen & Heath QU-16 mixing desk, Shure QLXD wireless mic systems, D.A.D. Touring 208 and 15SA active PA loudspeakers, stands and accessories.
Video products encompass a Panasonic MX770 solid shine laser projector, Draper fast-fold screen, HD Anywhere video extender, Unicol video display mount, and accessories.
Lighting features PROLIGHTS Eclipse Full Colour LED Profiles and StudioCOB Full Colour LED PARs, and an LSC Mantra control desk – all flightcased.
Rigging includes SIXTY82 Stage82 staging with accessories, Doughty wind-up speaker stands and clamps.
To connect everything together, all required audio signal, RJ45 extension, HDMI, DMX and power cables were assembled to custom lengths and supplied by the in-house Tourflex Cabling service.
The equipment is enabling eFIXX to deliver a highly professional set-up which serves the dual purpose of perfectly meeting the needs of its live events, as well as video productions for its YouTube channel.
