Building on more than 30 years of innovation, Chroma-Q, a world-renowned brand of premium performance LED lighting solutions, proudly introduces the IP65 Color Force 3 - setting a bold new benchmark in LED cyc, wash, and effects lighting.
Designed for applications demanding both power and colour precision - such as cycloramas, floods, and wall washes - Color Force 3 delivers more than twice the output of Color Force II and unveils a richer, more vibrant colour palette that inspires limitless creativity.
Designed and manufactured in North America, the Color Force 3 sets a new level in performance and creativity for the most demanding designs.
Color Force 3 delivers flawless colour, seamless fades, and rock-solid reliability, both indoors and outdoors - show after show.
Available in 1.8m / 6 ft, 1.2m / 4 ft, and 0.3m / 1 ft versions.
Trusted Chroma-Q calibration, evolved. Color Force 3 ships with the latest ColorSure 3 engine, guaranteeing tighter colour consistency than ever before - at every hue, every intensity, from the very first fixture to the last one off the line. The system continuously profiles each LED channel, applying high-resolution correction tables that lock chromaticity points and output levels in place. Whether you’re blending subtle pastels at low intensity or blasting full-power primaries, every fixture on the truss tracks the same colour signature - today, tomorrow, and years down the road.
Color Force 3 is individually calibrated across a lattice of colour-temperature and ± green reference points - fixture by fixture, LED cell by LED cell - with over 25 factory calibration points for each. From candle-warm 2000K ambience to crisp 7100K daylight (and any subtle magenta or green shift in between), every batten reproduces the same white every night. Replacement or rental units slot straight into the rig without on-site colour chasing, giving designers confidence for multi-week runs, repatches, and tours.
When using a DMX control mode with RGB or RGBA - instead of direct CCT control - Color Force 3 allows you to define the exact white point the fixture delivers when all colour channels are at full. For example, an RGB mix at full can be set to 3200K with a slight magenta tint to match a specific design requirement. This feature is particularly valuable for permanent or semi-permanent installations where precise and repeatable white points are essential to the overall look.
Some cues fade over minutes, others land in a heartbeat. SilkMotion masters both.
True 16-bit precision - 65,536 steps deliver theatre-grade smoothness with zero colour stepping.
Silent 24kHz PWM keeps every frame camera-safe; you never have to choose between resolution and flicker-free operation.
Adaptive dimming algorithm glides through minute-long fades yet reacts instantly for punches, chases, and dynamic scene changes.
Low-Power Mode maintains full 16-bit resolution while shifting extra step precision to the extreme low end - perfect for ultra-subtle glow-offs and cue-critical fades.
Color Force 3 debuts FlexOptics, an interchangeable-lens concept tuned for theatre and live production. The factory-fitted lens reaches new heights in uniformity, flooding a cyc up to 12m with flawless light - zero striping, colour fringing, or hot-spots. Two front-load docks let you snap in creative add-ons straight from the face - no tools, no end-cap removal, no downtime. Choose from standard diffusers, Stealth diffusion panels for an unobtrusive “black-face” look, egg-crates, barndoors, ripple frames, and more, all secured in seconds.
Need a hint of stardust over a rich cyc gradient? Tap SparQle. Two punchy 7000K LEDs sit at the top and bottom of each colour-mixing cell, firing through narrow optics that read as pin-point glints or micro-strobes. Each emitter is individually addressable, so you can pixel-map twinkles, curtain-call glitter, or audience pick-outs without touching the main look. Each set of 4 cells gives 8 independent sparkle pixels ready for creative media-server work (8x on CF3-12, 32x on CF3-48, and 48x on CF3-72)
Color Force 3 is the first Chroma-Q linear batten to earn an IP65 rating. The new chassis combines aluminium cast end-caps, continuous gaskets, pressure-equalising vents, and locking IP connectors, so festival crews and touring houses can leave the fixture in place when the weather turns - no bags, no headaches, zero downtime. Quiet heat pipes, an active cooling system, keeps the fixture's thermal management optimal.
Rig it, tap it, done. Dual NFC readers - one on the side for truss or floor mounts, and one on the rear for easy access when fixtures are in road cases or transport racks - lets you pull serials, runtime hours, temperature logs, or clone an entire configuration with any iOS or Android device, even when the batten is unpowered. Ideal for pre-production setup, you can batch-program a line in minutes or quickly diagnose a fault.
On-fixture control shouldn’t feel like programming a pager. A bright 4-inch capacitive touchscreen replaces button scrolling, giving swipe-and-tap access to addresses, personalities, test looks, and diagnostics - complete with an auto-rotate gesture for inverted hangs. Beside it, a 1-inch e-ink window keeps DMX address, universe, or custom text visible when the mains are off, so crews can verify details during dark change-overs or load-ins without power.
Color Force 3™ ships with two adjustable long-travel brackets, each providing six inches (150mm) of clamp-positioning range. This makes it easy to land clamps exactly where the truss chords fall - even when working around diagonal bracing or tricky rigging layouts. On deck, the integrated footplate tilts ±120° and locks with a spring-loaded cam, doubling as a rock-solid floor stand that holds its focus through transport and scene changes. The head is perfectly balanced on its rotation axis, delivering smooth, precise tilt adjustments with minimal effort.
Color Force 3 speaks the languages your control room already uses. Hard-line DMX-512 with RDM covers classic one-universe rigs; native Art-Net 4 and sACN ride the built-in Ethernet ports for networked shows. Feed Art-Net or sACN into the RJ-45 and the fixture can output DMX from its rear XLR, acting as a handy one-port node. Need wireless? An optional LumenRadio™ CRMX module delivers rock-solid RF DMX/RDM - no extra boxes, no extra fuss.
