The July Update: Official Stockists, Award Wins, and Festival Trackside Action

A look back at an extraordinary month featuring flagship audio appointments, international design awards, hands-on training, and trackside sponsorship at Silverstone.

July has been an incredible month across all sectors of AC-ET. From major distribution announcements and international design accolades to trackside hospitality and hands-on networking training, here is everything that shaped the past month.

AC-ET Appointed Official UK Stocking Distributor for NEXO

In one of our biggest audio announcements of the year, AC-ET has officially been appointed as an Official Stocking Distributor for NEXO, the renowned French manufacturer of high-performance loudspeaker systems. Building on a long-standing relationship supplying NEXO systems to venues, production companies, and theatres, this appointment strengthens our professional audio portfolio nationwide.

We will be holding a comprehensive range of NEXO stock at our Leeds facility for rapid dispatch, complemented by system design assistance, product training, and hands-on workshops across both our Leeds and High Wycombe demo hubs.

PROLIGHTS Innovation: HaluConnect & Muse Fresnel 70CT+

PROLIGHTS continues to push technological boundaries with two major releases this month. First is the launch of HaluConnect, a free, powerful desktop control software built for the HaluPix Duo and HaluStrip Duo series. It allows technicians to manage, configure, and test your entire rig from your laptop before your console even arrives.

Additionally, PROLIGHTS introduced the Muse Fresnel 70CT+, expanding their compact, high-CRI fixture range for theatre, broadcast, TV, and film studios.

Red Dot 'Best of the Best' Award for PIXELHUE U5 MINI

We are thrilled to celebrate our partners at PIXELHUE, whose brand-new U5 MINI event controller has been awarded the prestigious Red Dot: Best of the Best 2026 award - the highest distinction in the Red Dot Design Concept Awards. Designed for space-critical live environments, freelancers, and solo operators, the ultra-portable, fanless U5 MINI delivers high-end show control in a backpack-friendly footprint.

Client Focus: Jon Smith Entertainment & Neverland Express / Meat Loaf Tour

On the live production front, Jon Smith Entertainment delivered a spectacular visual production for a massive celebration of Meat Loaf at Manchester's iconic The Bridgewater Hall, featuring The Neverland Express - the legendary band behind the original records! To match the raw rock-and-roll power of these timeless tracks, the production team deployed high-performance PROLIGHTS fixtures. A truly epic production!

Trackside at Silverstone with the BRDC

July saw the return of the British Grand Prix, where AC-ET once again lit up the BRDC 'Farm' entertainment marquee and garden spaces at Silverstone. Utilising a comprehensive lighting and data grid featuring PROLIGHTS, Chroma-Q, Luminex, and LumenRadio, our crew lit up the trackside hospitality area for BRDC members and guests. Following last year's event, we proudly locked in a three-year sponsorship deal as a proud patron of the BRDC Young Driver programme.

Luminex Insights & Leeds Training Success

Data distribution took centre stage this month with our sold-out Luminex Product Training session in Leeds on 14-15 July and 21-22 in High Wycombe, where attendees mastered network switches, VLAN configurations, LumiNode processing, and DMX redundancy.

For those preparing for festival season console switching, Graham Roberts (Luminex Product Manager at AC-ET) shared an in-depth video walkthrough demonstrating how to configure the LumiCore for seamless multi-console switching across sACN and Art-Net sources.

Looking Ahead: The AC-ET Village at PLASA London

With less than a month to go, final preparations are underway for PLASA London 2026! As an official sponsor, we are gearing up for our biggest showcase to date with the return of the AC-ET Village.

Bringing together market-leading brands including Chroma-Q, PROLIGHTS, Luminex, EXE Technology, NEXO, Litec S Series, Green Hippo, PIXELHUE, and many more. ‘The Village’ will feature live product demos, expert advice, and our iconic Village Bar. We look forward to seeing you all on the show floor!
