The Board of Directors has full regard for the environment and recognises its responsibility in protecting the environment from the impact of trade and industry. The Directors also recognise the need to enlist the active support of employees at every level in achieving this aim.

The objectives of the Company Environmental Policy are:

TO ENDEAVOUR that all present and future operations will be conducted in a manner which impacts least on the environment.

TO IMPLEMENT all legislation and meet all regulatory standards.

TO ADDRESS in particular the following areas:

  • Reducing waste (water, raw materials during processing, power, fuel) and recycling.
  • Reducing the environmental impact of transport (fleet cars with lower emissions as vehicles are updated, haulage, etc.)
  • Reducing the environmental impact of our power demands (by choosing “green” suppliers)

 
TO SOURCE the most environmentally friendly suppliers, contractors and customers wherever possible.

TO USE AND DISPOSE of products in an environmentally sound way with the least possible waste.

TO CONTINUALLY improve our efforts to care for the environment.

TO PROMOTE the wellbeing of wildlife and vegetation on our premises.

The Health & Safety Committee are responsible for implementing the Company’s environmental policy. Names of committee members may be found on the Health & Safety posters on Company notice boards.
