Held within the grounds of the iconic Silverstone racing circuit, the three-day celebrations attract high-profile BRDC members including racing legends and personalities from the world of motorsport.
With the glitzy occasion requiring the highest production values, lighting designer, Andy Walne Smith was keen to utilise the PROLIGHTS range of indoor and outdoor LED fixtures to achieve his creative vision for the daytime and evening hospitality events.
Outdoors, Andy specified fixtures from the PROLIGHTS IP65 family. Panorama IP Spots provided gobo washes and Panorama AirBeam IP searchlights delivered stunning air looks to bring the party to life. PROLIGHTS Solar LED floodlights supplied by Neg Earth Lights beautifully illuminated the marquee exterior and surrounding garden, whilst StudioCOB Plus FC LED PARs supplied by IPS provided powerful feature lighting.
Inside, a variety of PROLIGHTS LED fixtures were used to create a lively and vibrant atmosphere. These included Luma 700s projecting ‘BRDC’ branding, plus JetSpot4Zs and Stark 1000s bringing the live band and DJ to life.

With the ever-present risk of rain at the British Grand Prix, and the importance placed on the event aesthetics, I knew the PROLIGHTS IP65 range would be ideal for my needs. I didn’t need to use domes, which made setup quicker, and the all-LED rig really helped to maximise what I could achieve from the limited power available on-site.
