The Flying Pig joins The Little Mermaid

22nd February 1999

Det Danske Teater and Nørrebros Teater, in Copenhagen, are the two latest Danish theatres to equip themselves with a Wholehog II lighting control console from Flying Pig Systems.

Bringing the number of theatres who have installed a Wholehog II, in Copenhagen alone, to eight, these latest theatres know that they are in good, solid company with their choice of lighting controller. Proving the consoles' ability to work in a fully theatrical environment, Andersen & Co., the Danish dealer for the Wholehog II, are not surprised at the popularity of the console within the theatrical community. Jan Hjorth Jensen from Andersen & Co. commented, "The Wholehog II is perfectly suited to running all of the theatrical shows that take place in Denmark. Whether it is a major musical such as Miss Saigon, or a classic piece such as Hamlet, the Wholehog II makes the lighting programming and operation simple and straightforward. We know that the console has a strong reputation within the concert industry, especially with all of the festivals that take place here, but that doesn't stop the console performing in a theatrical situation. It's simply a case that once the designers see it working, their mind is set on using one!"

Verifying the popularity of the console, Andersen & Co. have further reported a number of new sales to existing lighting production and rental companies in Denmark who cover the concert, conference and event industries.
