New Vision Lanterns from A.C. Lighting at PLASA 1999

24th August 1999

Vision, a brand name of A.C. Lighting, is expanding its range of zoom profile lanterns this year with the addition of two new fixtures fitted with discharge lamp sources. A 1200 Watt HTI and a 2500 Watt HTI fixture are available, both coming equipped with DMX controlled dimmers. All of the standard features from the rest of the Vision range will also be fitted. These include a set of extractable, rotating beam shutters, a 'drop-in' gate for gobo's or an iris, quick locking handles for the zoom lens assembly, easy internal access for lens cleaning and maintenance, and an accessory frame with a 'snap lock' lid for safety. Other zoom profile lanterns already available in the Vision range include 650 Watt, 1200 Watt and 2500 Watt halogen fixtures. Complementary fixtures are also available in Fresnel and PC formats, with a variety of lamp options and accessories.

Expanding the range of high quality followspots, Vision is also adding a 2500 Watt HTI unit to their existing "Compact" range of units. As their name suggests these followspots are extremely small, lightweight and easy to transport from one place to another. With an adjustable zoom angle ranging from 12° to 24°, this unit features a working throw distance of between 15 and 25 metres. Its outstanding projection quality is achieved from a condenser lens optic system that utilises 5 separate lenses.
