Lighting Designers Invited to take a Closer Look at grandMA

19th March 2004

A.C. Lighting, the exclusive UK distributor for MA Lighting consoles, are holding a number of free one-day grandMA product demonstration and training seminars for lighting designers and operators in the UK.

The seminars are part of a programme of activities organised in conjunction with three of the consoles' leading rental company stockists - Neg Earth Lights, White Light and Stage Electrics - to highlight the grandMA range's increased rentals distribution and to demonstrate why the desks have recently been chosen by UK LDs for some of the most high-profile tours and shows in Europe.

Dave Isherwood, Hire Director of White Light commented “The White Light Group whole heartedly supports the grandMA seminars. By demonstrating the contribution that technology and the grandMA can make to a show, we're facilitating the artistic endeavours of our clients."

LDs and operators attending the seminars will have the opportunity to learn and experience for themselves the desks' true potential via a product presentation and full hands-on training demonstration.

The console is fully configurable to adapt to the user's existing way of working and additional advanced features include: familiar programming syntax, 3 full colour adjustable touchscreens, graphical colour and gobo selection, 20 fader and 40 button playbacks per page, along with the ability to control up to 16,384 DMX parameters and network up to 32 consoles.

Having already sold over 1,200 units and been responsible for thousands of shows across over 45 countries, the grandMA range is already firmly established as a major player around the world.

UK lighting rental companies have recently supplied desks for numerous European entertainment events, including tours by Avril Lavigne, Sum 41, Simple Minds, Beyonce Knowles and stage productions of Thoroughly Modern Millie and Mamma Mia! (a more complete list of events and venues can be found on the 'references' page of www.malighting.de ).

A.C. Lighting will also be demonstrating the grandMA consoles range at their A.C. Lighting North tradeshow in Leeds on 11th/12th May.

In addition to offering free training and demonstration facilities for lighting designers, programmers and operators, A.C.
