Jands Holds European Dealer Conference

3rd October 2007

Lighting control and dimming manufacturer Jands recently held a European Dealer Conference at the head office of its European distributor, A.C. Lighting, timed to coincide with dealers visiting this year's PLASA tradeshow.

The two-day event was attended by over 35 delegates from Belgium, Canaries, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Holland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the UK.

Delegates were joined by Jands Director Paul Mulholland, Jands Director and Vista Product Manager David Mulholland, A.C. Lighting's Jands Product Manager Neil Vann, Product Development Director Glyn O'Donoghue, International Sales Director Cally Bacchus, and the company's sales team.

The conference provided a key forum for Jands to discuss future development plans for the Vista console with its resellers, announce a number of exciting product launches, and receive feedback on all technical and commercial aspects of its full lighting range.

The agenda also included an insight into Jands'; product R&D, product training workshops, and guest speaker talks from high profile lighting designers and rental companies using the Vista console.

In addition to discussing the recently launched Jands Vista M1 playback only control surface, Jands also unveiled other key models launching later this year.

The new Vista S1 is a powerful and flexible live console that's compact enough to carry in hand luggage along with a laptop. Designed to work with the Vista software, whether using Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Mac OSX, it features five configurable playbacks with displays, a master playback, DMX outputs, and encoders. The Vista S1 provides a complete portable control surface solution and is ideal for when users need to travel light to deliver their show or when space is an issue.

Jands also previewed the new HPX, a fully customisable dimmer that enables users to get the features they need at a price that suits their budget by choosing from a range of power, output, connectors, risetime and phase options. The HPX also includes a host of other attributes which make it one of the safest and most reliable dimmers around.

Jands Director Paul Mulholland commented: "The Vista conference has been a huge success for everyone involved. As a manufacturer, it was a rare opportunity to get our European resellers and some real users together in one room at the same time to discuss our current line-up, and get their vital feedback to our development plans. The response to the new Vista products in particular has been excellent, so we're confident that these new compact models will take the console to the next level. Our thanks to everyone who attended the event."
