Jands DD-8 Splitter - Power, Convenience & Safety

26th August 1997

The newly released DD-8 from Jands Electronics simplifies the task of splitting, or distributing, a DMX 512 signal whilst also protecting your lighting system.

The Eight fully opto-isolated outputs provide a high level of protection by blocking a power surge or fault and isolating it from the rest of your DMX 512 system.

That means, in the case of a fault of up to 500 Volts AC, your lighting desk, dimmers, and other equipment are isolated from each other and hence, from any potential damage. The DD-8 splitter will simply halt the problem, protecting DMX control from mains faults on both DMX inputs and outputs.

CE and C-Tick safety standard approved, the DD-8 is equipped with standard five pin XLR input and output connectors and accepts the industry standard USITT DMX-512(1990) protocol.

The DD-8 splitter is a cost-effective way to help you keep the big blackout at bay.
