A.C. Supplies Complete Lighting Inventory for STS Touring Productions Ltd

29th November 2007

A.C. Lighting's Northern sales office has supplied the complete inventory of entertainment lighting, rigging and associated equipment for STS Touring Productions Ltd's new lighting hire division.

The launch of the division was timed to coincide with the 10th anniversary of trading for STS, and is a natural progression to complete the full hire package that STS can now offer clients. PA, lighting, backline and staging equipment are all available in house from STS.

STS Director Paul Collis has been a customer of A.C. Lighting for many years and had always been impressed by the service, product knowledge and advice, so the entertainment technology distributor was his natural choice to source all their lighting equipment needs from a single supplier.

The STS inventory includes Robe moving lights, the new Jands FPX dimming system, ETC and Avolites control, and Litec trussing and Manfrotto grip equipment supplied by A.C.'s new dedicated Rigging division.

A.C. Lighting's Cable Express manufacturing department also played a key role in pulling the order together, producing all the made up cable, internally wired lighting bars and customised dimming systems in-house and in record time to meet the STS' launch deadline.

STS Director Paul Collis commented: "A.C. Lighting has been superb. We made a commitment to use the company as our sole lighting supplier based on their service, product range, product knowledge and pricing. I have dealt with Adam (Beaumont, Northern Sales Manager) for many years, and his help in this has been invaluable as always. Any company can sell equipment; it is about a lot more than that."

The final deal was (with the help of Medialease) signed and sealed on the A.C. Lighting booth at PLASA 2007.
