A.C. Special Projects Sponsors 2011 Lighting Design Awards Category

3rd March 2011

A.C. Special Projects Ltd is proud to sponsor the 'Special Projects' category for this year’s Lighting Design Awards, to be held at the London Hilton hotel, Park Lane on 10th March.

The 'Special Projects' category covers projects with restrictions in terms of such factors as budget, planning or English Heritage-listing. Restricted budget schemes would include undertakings where the capital lighting equipment cost was under £20,000. This category also includes temporary lighting projects.

ACSP's Managing Director, Peter Keiderling stated: "We're very proud to be sponsoring this award and the short listed projects from Arup, Designs for Lighting, Midas, Jason Bruges Studio and Sarah Galloway Associates are all excellent schemes."

Over the years, A.C. Special Projects has been a supplier to some of the industry’s most prestigious lighting projects, including 2010 Lighting Design Awards winners, The British Music Experience (BME) at The O2 and the Centre of the Cell at Whitechapel in London. David Atkinson Lighting Design (DALD) won both aforementioned 2010 Lighting Design Awards, with the exhibitions designed by Land Design Studio.

A.C. Special Projects works with lighting consultants and architects to provide innovative lighting schemes utilising interior and exterior light fittings, control and effects lighting. From heritage, landmarks and museums to houses of worship, retail and leisure, other high profile lighting projects the company has been involved with across the capital include Somerset House, the Victoria & Albert Museum, HQ2 in Canary Wharf, Park Plaza County Hall Hotel, Christie’s, Eurostar and NikeTown.
