AC-ET Showcases Premium Performance Broadcast Lighting Technologies at IBC 2017

13th September 2017

A.C. Entertainment Technologies Ltd. (AC-ET) will be at the IBC 2017 show – RAI, Amsterdam, 15th-19th September – to showcase leading broadcast lighting solutions from Chroma-Q, Quasar Science, Mole-Richardson, VisionSmith, RatPac, and its in-house Tourflex Cabling service.

Chroma-Q – Winner of ‘best lighting product’ at 2016’s Cine Gear Expo Technical Awards in the USA, Chroma-Q's innovative Space Force™ variable white LED space light / soft light source has been adopted by several major film and TV studios.

The fixture is made in North America, weighs only 8kg with a built-in ballast, and with passive cooling is exceptionally quiet in operation. The Space Force outputs up to 26,700 lumens of white light with variable control from 2,800K to 6,500K, with a diffused output so no skirts / silks are required. It incorporates all of Chroma-Q’s advanced technologies, including flicker-free operation, homogenised output, theatrical grade dimming and wireless DMX / RDM options.

Also showing is Chroma-Q's multi award-winning Color Force II™ fixture. From the makers of one of the most popular LED battens, the next generation Color Force ll™ delivers formidable output and superior colour blending, all with smooth even coverage. The fixture's homogenised colour mixing produces both strong saturated colours and delicate pastels with no unsightly colour shadowing. Powerful enough to light nearly 12 metres, the Color Force II is perfect for a wide range of applications where a powerful throw is needed.

Quasar Science – Increasingly widely used in Hollywood and across the USA, Quasar Science's Q-LED Crossfade Linear Lamps combine all the benefits of a self-ballasted LED source, yet with a compact, low profile form factor.

The fixtures are capable of providing everything from traditional three point subject lighting to general area lighting - making them ideal for lighting actors or environments. They can also be used as a direct replacement for fluorescent fixtures in traditional fixtures.

Quasar will launch its new RGB-X Rainbow Linear LED Lamp at the show. The Rainbow combines Quasar’s X-fade variable 2,000K - 6,000K white light with RGB LEDs to create a colour changing fixture which will be ideal for the entertainment industry.

Mole-Richardson – Mole-Richardson has a long history dating back to 1927, as a manufacturer of equipment produced to the highest quality, designed and built specifically for the film and broadcast industry. The product range now extends to include not only traditional fixtures, but also LED based Fresnels. Formulated specifically for the world of image capture, their high quality LED engine provides colour rendition and an output comparable with traditional fixtures, whilst consuming 80% less power. A selection of models from their extensive range will be on display including the iconic Molebeam.

Mole will also be launching a new variable colour Fresnel with tuneable white output and green magenta shift, allowing the product to be tuned to existing fixtures, ensuring consistency of colour within image capture.

VisionSmith - ReLamp from VisionSmith is a cutting edge LED-based lamp replacement module. Units can be dropped into most popular Fresnels, as a substitute for traditional incandescent lamps converting the luminaire to LED operation. Relamp modules are available for 300W, 650W, 1 kW and 2kW Fresnels and can be powered from existing dimmer setups without changes to power or control infrastructure.

All units utilise cutting edge technology to ensure comparable output, excellent colour rendering, colour stable and flicker free operation. Relamped fixtures can be run alongside existing technologies, allowing users to easily benefit from the lower power consumption, reduced heat output, and the reliability afforded by converting to a modern LED-based light source.

RatPac - Using industry-leading LumenRadio CRMX wireless technology, RatPac's AKS system allows users to control lighting fixtures directly from their mobile phone, tablet or PC. The Cintenna wireless receivers can plug directly into the back of the lighting fixtures themselves, and require no additional rigging hardware.

Tourflex Cabling - Also represented on the stand is AC-ET's in-house custom cable assembly service, which can produce all popular types of power, signal and multicore cables used by the film & TV sector. With over 40 years of experience in this field, A.C. has earned a reputation for providing quality, reliable cabling to very short delivery deadlines. Due to its large assembly capacity, high priority orders are often turned around withinin 24 hours, and over weekends where required.
