Save Stage Lighting - Proposed EU Changes Have Very Serious Implications for the Industry
30th April 2018
Proposed EU lighting regulations have VERY serious implications for the industry, as they will require ALL stage lighting to meet new efficiency targets in line with domestic and office lighting - affecting tungsten, arc, LED and just about every fixture used for entertainment lighting.
Intended to start from 1 September 2020, the new regulations would dramatically impact all areas of entertainment lighting and those who work in this field - including lighting manufacturers, distributors, rental companies, installers and lighting users.
PLASA and the ALD are urging the industry to join forces with them to present a strong argument against the new proposals, as every individual response will add more weight. But time is running out. Please show your support by following this link for more information on how to respond directly to the EU before the deadline of Monday, 7th May 2018.
If you are attending the PLASA Focus Leeds show, there is a free-to-attend consultation for those who will be affected by these changes. Please click this link to register your attendance.
Help raise the profile and spread the word by discussing with colleagues and share the #SaveStageLighting hashtag on social media.
