A.C. Lighting Becomes an Allen & Heath iDR Systems Certified Dealer

16th March 2005

A.C. Lighting's Audio division is one of the first installation companies in the UK to become a certified dealer (Blue Level status) for Allen & Heath's innovative iDR Audio DSP system.

iDR is a digital signal processing system which provides integrated and flexible control of audio. The speaker management system can automatically route audio signal and relevant DSP/EQ settings in complex multi-function environments, switching speakers on and off at automated times and re-routing audio, music and microphones to certain zones in a building.

IDR is designed for installed and live sound systems in just about any venue - bars, restaurants, concert halls, lecture theatres, hotels, conference centres, theatres, museums, houses of worship, stadia and theme parks etc.

The iDR series comprises a range of hardware units and accompanying series of wall plates and remote controllers, which build into an integrated DSP system set up using software.

A.C. audio specialist Alex Hadjigeorgiou recently completed a Blue level training course, which equips the installer with the necessary knowledge to specify, design, install, realise and manage a complete iDR system and interconnecting components.

Martin Daley, Allen & Heath’s UK Sales Manager commented: "We view A.C. as a key dealer of our products and we are delighted that the company has qualified as a certified iDR dealer. I'm confident they will be a key installer of the product at this exciting stage in the evolution of the iDR portfolio."

Allen & Heath will be demonstrating an iDR system, including an iDR-8 digital mix processing unit with PL-6 linear fader panel and wall plate with PL-5 IR remote controller, at the A.C. Lighting North Show in Leeds on 26th and 27th April.
