A.C. Appoints Audio Technical Sales Executive Rep

23rd August 2005

A.C. Lighting's Audio division have appointed Glen Thompson as Audio Sales Executive, working out of the company's UK headquarters in High Wycombe.

Glen brings a wealth of experience to his new role, enabling him to provide sales, servicing and training support across A.C.'s range of leading pro audio brands for customers in the South of England.

An accomplished musician, Glen trained as a sound engineer at the Gateway School of Recording and Music Technology in 1987 and has since gained many years experience working both behind and in front of the microphone, mixing or performing.

Whilst previously working for five years in Sennheiser UK's Sales department, Glen gained an in-depth product knowledge of in ear monitoring systems, recording techniques, microphone ranges and technologies - including RF systems and applications, conferencing equipment and the latest infra-red components for hard of hearing and translation applications.

Previous to this role he spent six years working as Technical Sales Advisor for Studio Spares.

A.C.'s Audio Sales Manager, Peter Butler, commented: "We're very pleased to have Glen on board."

In addition to his high level of technical expertise and OEM background, there's an obvious benefit to our customers in having a support specialist based in Southern England. In a competitive marketplace our focus is primarily on adding value to the sale, which we're able to do by appointing individuals with specific areas of product expertise. Our customers can therefore be confident that they'll be getting first class, unbiased advice and after-sales support across the full range of audio products we stock."
