We all know how annoying and frustrating it can be when trying to change a connection or setting when there is no manual immediately available, so LynxTechnik adopted a new basic mantra for the development of each new yellobrik device -- "No manual needed"
LynxTechnik clearly identify all connections and signal flow, and virtually everything you need to know is printed right on the module.
Most often needed controls are easily accessible and clearly labelled, with no need to remove covers, move links, and figure out complex dip switch settings or in most cases connect a PC. The more complex modules do however have more configuration options than can be accommodated with physical switches so if you want to adjust away from the default settings they can be connected by the supplied min-USB/USB cable to a PC running the extremely intuitive yelloGUI.
Once set, the yellobrik will retain these settings even after power cycling.
Even though yellobriks are low cost utility products, reliability and technical performance are key to the functionality of these modules. yellobrik's are the most stable and technically proficient bricks available and are backed by a 3 year warrantee and excellent after sales service and support from offices in the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Singapore, Japan and US.
LynxTechnik include all accessories needed; the module and power supply, plus mini-USB programming cable and yelloGUI software (where required) are all supplied in a custom plastic transport case -- all included in the price. Some yellobrik's are field upgradable to add SFP fibre connectivity both single or dual channel and multichannel CWDM. Fibre MUX / De-MUX and splitter modules are also available.
If LynxTechnik release a new firmware revision then the update is always free to download and install. Simply download to your PC, plug in the min-USB/USB cable and click. Nothing could be easier.
Their innovative 1RU rack mounting chassis lets you move from simple throw down use into a tidy, organized system installed in a 19" rack frame. Central power and redundant power supply option adds to system flexibility. A single-module mounting bracket with rack-strip mounting holes is also available as are in-line IEC power supplies allowing individual modules to be powered from an IEC mains distribution unit.
