AC-ET Showcases Innovative Entertainment Technologies at PLASA 2010

The AC-ET stand at PLASA 2010 will showcase a selection of lighting, audio, rigging and video solutions from the company’s huge range of leading industry brands (Stand 1-E10). With a vast multi-million pound stockholding of products and in-house associated services, AC-ET provides a complete one-stop entertainment technology solution to customers in over 80 countries.
Lighting highlights include the new Chroma-Q™ Color Force™ super bright LED batten range and Color Charge™ ultra portable LED source. The stand will also feature the soon-to-launch Jands Vista 2 Byron, a major upgrade of the revolutionary lighting control system, as well as the extraordinary value, fully featured new touring Jands dimmer range. Other products showing include the latest GLP Impression LED line up and Spotlight performance and architectural lighting range.
Audio highlights include a selection of the division’s leading digital sound control and distribution brands. On show is the new Soundcraft Vi1 compact, affordable mixing console. The stand will also feature digital mixing and stagebox solutions from Roland and Yamaha: the new RSS by Roland M300 and S1608 stagebox, plus the Yamaha LS9-16 and SB168-ES stagebox. Other products showing include the Nexo Geo S12 line array speaker series for fixed and portable installations.
Rigging highlights include the new range of Columbus McKinnon Entertainment Lodestar chain hoists, featuring the D8, D8+ and C1 models. Recently appointed brands represented include the Kinesys Motion Control Systems and the VMB TL Line Array Lift series. The stand will also feature new products from Litec truss and a selection of the division’s main line rigging products, including Manfrotto and Avenger lighting supports, Out Board Electronics and XLNT motor controls, rigging accessories from Crosby and Tractel and PPE from Petzl.
Video highlights include a demonstration of the Green Hippo Hippotizer media servers range. The stand also features a preview of the new Midiator Vision Pro console, the next step in the development of the award-winning video and lighting live show control interface. Other products showing include the Pro Systems Group 19” rack-mount patch panels range for connecting together different hardware devices.
Sister company, A.C. Special Projects Ltd. will also be present to discuss bespoke solutions and installations for specialist lighting, audio and AV projects, from the initial design and build concept through to a finished system. Recent projects the company has provided equipment for include the award-winning Centre of the Cell education centre and British Music Experience at the O2, DALD lighting schemes, the Blackpool “Wave” sculpture LED lighting, the 2010 British Grand Prix Ball BRDC Clubhouse lighting, as well as the Eurostar Business Premier Lounge and Christie’s London headquarters lighting.
