AC-ET Adds Its Support to Pufferfish for Team Building Event
3rd March 2011
A.C. Entertainment Technologies Ltd's Video division supplied specialist technical support and knowledge on the Pufferfish PufferSphere 360° spherical projection system to Pelorus Consulting for a management team building event at the Goodwood Estate in west Sussex, UK.
Pelorus's Jack Broadley originally approached Pufferfish direct, with the idea of using their innovative sphere effect projection display as a communication centrepiece for a CEO’s Key Note speech during an open air strategy positioning event.
Pufferfish in turn asked reseller A.C. Video if they could assist with co-ordinating delivery of the client's technical requirements.
A fully portable, and easily transportable M 60cm PufferSphere was supplied to the campfire location in one of the forests on the picturesque 12,000 acre Goodwood Estate. The display provided a creative visualisation system to accompany the keynote speech.
Jack Broadley explains, "With an external night time setting and an important CEO address, I needed a solution that would allow key words to be extracted from the speech and projected - almost in real time - back to the audience. It had to emphasise but not detract from the main messages. PufferSphere was exactly the right solution for this strategy event - it was brilliant."
A.C. Video's Lee House helped create a selection of bespoke image content for the evening, which was loaded into a Green Hippo Hippotizer digital media server. The content was then fed into the system, to be projected around the PufferSphere utilising a Christie DS +750 projector (as the exclusive UK and Ireland distributor for Green Hippo products and a Christie Digital partner, A.C. Video provided all-round technical support for the system).
The material included montages of the wide range of events held at Goodwood - including Goodwood Festival of Speed, Glorious Goodwood horseracing and the Vintage (music) Festival, plus a selection of stunning images from around the house, farm, estate and hotel.
During the CEO speech, Lee utilised the Hippotizer's live text inputting function worked with the Pelorus Facilitator to pick out inspirational key words which were instantly projected around the sphere, adding impact and meaning.
The PufferSphere system provided an ideal solution in this situation. It was quick to install, easily deployable and provided an eye catching visual tool that didn't overpower the proceedings.
Lee House observes, "This is a great example of the flexibility and diversity of applications for all these video products, which together make ideal technology partners. Being able to create special content 'on-the-fly' for a temporary or permanent event or occasion in any location is brilliant."
