A.C. Entertainment Technologies CM Lodestar Training Is a Big Pull

14th July 2009

The recent CM Lodestar training courses held by A.C. Rigging, a division of A.C. Entertainment Technologies Ltd., were very well received by all who attended the fully booked events.

Dave Carmack, Entertainment Product Trainer for Columbus McKinnon, led the training sessions along with Adam Beaumont, Sales Manager for the A.C. Rigging division, at the company’s Leeds premises. Dave is a 31-year veteran of CM with a tenure that includes production, design, testing and engineering at the hoist manufacturing plant located in Damascus, Virginia. Course attendees were taken through various levels of training, from the basic course covering overcoming daily scenarios, to an advanced two-day course covering inspection procedures and certification of the Lodestar and Prostar motors.

Trevor Hanna, Senior Technician for Production Services Ireland, commented: “Having attended the advanced course, it has now provided me with greater knowledge and confidence to work on CM Lodestar chain hoists. The methods and instruction from David Carmack were at a pace and level which everyone was able to relate to. Thoroughly enjoyable, interesting and useful. Thank you so much.”

Phil Baker, Head of Rigging for Blackburn-based HSL commented: “I’d recommend the CM motor course run by A.C. to anyone involved with Lodestar hoists. There was a lot of information that David Carmack of CM gave me that will be invaluable with maintaining HSL’s Lodestars. Also, I’d like to thank Adam and Tracie at A.C. for looking after me on the training. All in all, it was an excellent course.”

Due to the success of the two courses, A.C.’s Rigging division will be scheduling another series of courses in the near future. For more information on CM Lodestar products, or to register your interest in future CM training courses held by A.C.’s Rigging division, please contact:
