AC-ET 1st Reseller to Gain Official CM Certification for Engineers
26th September 2011
Engineers from A.C. Entertainment Technologies (AC-ET) Ltd's Rigging division have passed the new official Columbus McKinnon (CM) 'Certified Hoist Technician' examination, making AC-ET the only CM Entertainment reseller and servicing agent in the UK to have engineers trained and authorised to this level of certification.
The course - which is a new initiative by the manufacturer - was conducted by CM’s training manager, David Carmack, at their UK headquarters in Merseyside. All four AC-ET engineers who attended passed the full set of practical modules and a detailed written examination with flying colours.
The AC-ET staff - Martin Price, Julian Tether, Keith Hartley and Graham Lovell - are based across the company’s High Wycombe and Leeds offices and work as part of the highly experienced A.C. Rigging team.
Adam Beaumont, head of A.C. Rigging comments, "When the official Hoist Technician's course came online from CM, it was extremely important for AC-ET's technicians to be able gain the most advanced credentials. Our engineers have all spent literally thousands of hours working on building and servicing CM motors, but taking the course, passing the exam and receiving this full recognition from the manufacturer is a further official endorsement of their skills and competence."
Having officially certified engineers on the AC-ET team underlines the company's commitment to providing and maintaining the highest standards of quality, excellence and knowledge for which it is renowned.
AC-ET is a leading UK distributor for CM's Entertainment Technology division and does a huge amount of business with the globally renowned brand. In addition to stock supply, A.C. Rigging has an in-house department dedicated to the assembly of new build CM Entertainment Lodestar and Prostar electric chain hoists. The division also offers a motor inspection, repair and certification service.
