A.C. Entertainment Technologies' Dedicated Exhibition Zone at PLASA 2016 Showcases Leading Brands

16th September 2016

A.C. Entertainment Technologies Ltd. (AC-ET), a leading one-stop provider of professional equipment to the entertainment industry, will showcase a selection of the very latest technology solutions available from their vast portfolio of over 200 leading brands, in their large exhibition zone (main stand E30) at PLASA 2016 – Olympia, London, UK, 18th – 20th September.

Staff from the company’s dedicated Lighting sales division – which supplies any aspect of your stage, theatre, or architectural lighting system – will be present to demonstrate the latest lighting solutions from brands including Chroma-Q®, Jands, ProLights, Spotlight, LumenRadio, Luminex and Tourflex® Cabling, amongst others.

The company’s dedicated Film & TV sales division – which offers a comprehensive one-stop inventory of lighting, control and grip solutions for film, television, studio and location applications – will showcase the latest solutions from Chroma-Q, Fiilex, Mole-Richardson, Manfrotto & Avenger, and LumenRadio.

Tourflex Cabling (stand F30), AC-ET’s in-house added-value service, understands just how critical cables and connections are to the entertainment industry. Last year alone they made over 100,000 cable assemblies, including more than half a million metres of exceptional quality cabling – a command performance by any standards. They carry a vast range of cables, including data, mains, audio, video, multicore, and a choice of industry standard connectors. They keep large volumes of popular cable types in stock at their warehouses in High Wycombe and Leeds – available for rapid delivery – and utilise technicians who have the expertise to make and personalise all your cables for you.

Chroma-Q® (stand F20) will change the game again with the European launch of their next generation Color Force II™ range. Nominated for the PLASA Awards for Innovation, and using the very latest fully homogenised optics, the Color Force II fixtures’ output is a single, clean and pure beam of light, delivering a superior colour blend with no unsightly colour mixing shadows. In addition, the models deliver at least 50% more output than their predecessors. Other highlights on display include the recently launched, award-winning Space Force™ LED - a modern replacement for conventional space lights or soft light sources commonly used in film and TV studios around the world. The Space Force benefits from cool running, energy efficiency, lightweight design and minimum maintenance. Also showing is the award-winning Chroma-Q Inspire™ range, which provides a high quality white light that also allows full colour-changing – all in a single fixture.

Also featured, and providing control for all lighting fixtures showcased across the AC-ET Zone, is the Jands (stand D20) product family. Catch a demo of the award-winning Jands Vista range, which is designed to provide leading edge lighting & media control. With a system to suit almost any scale of show or budget, Vista enables all users to enjoy the same powerful yet simple control as the world’s leading designers and international touring productions - to get the most from whatever mix of technology they have, whether dimmers, moving lights, LED or media. Offering the simplicity to work fast, with the power to control the finest details, Vista lets everyone focus on creating a great looking show rather than on programming a desk. Also on display will be the multi award-winning Stage CL. The operator-friendly console allows you to bring your LEDs to life and produce stunning shows, all with very little training. The intuitive manual controls are easy to learn and use, even with no previous lighting experience.

The ProLights (stand D30) ArenaCOB4 IP65 LED blinder family were a key element of Paul Normandale's stunning design for Coldplay's recent “Head Full of Dreams” tour. These fixtures, along with many others, are featured. In addition to a selection of architectural and theatrical fixtures taken from the extensive Prolights range, other products to note include the new StudioCOB PLUS - the ultimate workhorse LED PAR; Luma 1500 - the ideal replacement for a 1200W discharge moving profile; and the STARK1000CC - an innovative new LED wash light featuring 19 x 40W Osram LEDs. The Prolights range is being developed in response to the feedback of some of the world’s leading designers. The philosophy is to provide “workhorse” products with the performance that users demand and deserve at a price that means they can deliver their creative concepts on budget”.

Also in the lighting area, Spotlight (stand E30) produce a wide range of LED and conventional products, and offer custom solutions to meet specific customer requirements. The GreenLine LED range includes Fresnels, PCs, profiles, followspots and cycs, ranging from 3W to 450W in warm, natural, cool or tunable white as well as RGBW. All the fixtures can be supplied either as manual focus, pole operated or DMX remote controlled versions.

Luminex (stand E30) will showcase their data distribution equipment for professional AV solutions. Their Ethernet switches, Ethernet to DMX converters and DMX splitters enable installers and integrators to setup an entire light, audio and video solution without any IT knowledge. All Luminex devices are designed and pre-configured for various AV applications, offer a true plug&play convenience and are recommended by many leading manufacturers.

Featuring award-winning innovation and ground breaking technology, the LumenRadio (stand E30) Wireless DMX and RDM products have been developed to guarantee reliability even in the most technically challenging scenarios. LumenRadio's innovative CRMX technology continuously scans the wireless frequencies, detecting activity from other networks and where gaps are available. The radio modules 'hop' into these available frequencies, making best use of the available space whilst reducing the effects on other networks.

AC-ET's dedicated Audio sales division (stand E30) will provide hands-on demonstrations of Allen & Heath’s Qu series digital mixers, plus the Yamaha QL series. The RCF Evox 8 compact PA system will also be on show along with wireless mic solutions from Shure and Sennheiser.
