A.C. Lighting Sell Mackie TT24 Audio Console from 1st UK Shipment

10th June 2005

A.C. Lighting's Audio division has sold a Mackie TT24 digital audio console from the 1 st UK stock.

The console was sold to Nolan Sound, one of top sound rental companies in Ireland and a supplier to some of the country's most renowned artists from all Irish genres.

Nolan Sound's Alan Nolan was looking for a Mackie stockist of this high demand new digital console and approached UK dealer A.C., who were about to take delivery of their 1 st shipment.

Alan and business partner Jim Fox had recently invested in a digital console from A.C. and decided digital was now the way to go since the latest generation combined built-in digital processing capabilities with the ability to transfer show data between like-for-like consoles, and were much easier to use live.

Keen to add a second digital desk to their rental stock, Alan had chosen the Mackie TT24 desk because it was designed to be as user-friendly as possible for live sound engineers to operate - sharing its look and feel with the traditionally easier to use analogue console. At the same time it featured all the benefits of a digital console, including a built in effects library, which made set-up very quick and easy.

The Mackie TT24 is a 56 x 45, 24-bit, 96kHz capable digital live console with 100mm touch-sensitive faders, on-board analogue and digital I/O, full channel metering, digital recall, EQ, dynamics, and effects.

The TT24 development team drew extensively on Mackie's history as a provider of high-value small-format analogue live consoles, as well as the company's extensive experience in digital audio technology, to equip the TT24 with an enhanced set of live sound tools that simply aren't available in the analogue world.

With A.C. amongst the dealers receiving the very 1st TT24s shipped, the console was sold to Nolan Sound before it had even arrived into stock. Mackie is just one of an extensive range of leading digital audio console brands stocked by A.C., including Yamaha, Soundcraft and Allen & Heath.

Alan Nolan of Nolan Sound commented: "We're very pleased with the console and A.C. They're a very professional company to deal with and stock a good choice of equipment at the higher end of the pro audio market. The people I've spoken to have always been very knowledgeable about the products."
